Cara felt like her life was ending when her doctor told her she was unable to cheer anymore due to a herniated disc in her low back. Cara had dreams of cheering throughout college and this news just crushed her completely. Her doctor put her on numerous pain medications with no relief as well as anti-depressants for the depression caused by her inability to cheer. While following up with the doctor, Cara was told that she would need to have surgery on her back and miss weeks of school following the surgery. This depressed Cara even more. She couldn’t imagine that her only option was surgery as she was only 16! Cara and her parents told the doctor that they were going to need some time to think about this option. They decided to schedule her for surgery during the summer break of school. This still left Cara depressed because she was now going to spend her entire summer recovering.

Thankfully Cara’s grandfather ran into a close friend and told him all about Cara’s condition. This friend had previously been to the Busch Chiropractic Pain Center for a similar condition with great results. He recommended that Cara try this before having a surgery because he had previously had 2 surgeries and still had reoccurring pain. Cara and her family were ecstatic to find out that she was a candidate for the DRS Protocol®™ and started treatment right away.

Cara was able to return to cheering and is even enrolled to start cheering at a college in her state in the fall. Cara is now off all pain medications and anti-depressants. She is so very grateful to be back to living a normal and happy life! GOOOOOOOOO DRS!
