The Busch Neuropathy Protocol

A breakthrough protocol for the treatment of pain, numbness, burning, tingling, and other neuropathy symptoms — without drugs or surgery.

The Busch Neuropathy Protocol in Fort Wayne

The Busch Neuropathy Protocol

Peripheral neuropathy affects an estimated 20 million Americans — and for many of them, conventional medicine has only one answer: prescription medications that dull the pain without addressing the underlying nerve damage. Patients are often told to "learn to live with it" or accept that their burning, numbness, tingling, balance loss, and weakness are simply part of getting older, or part of their diabetes, or the price they paid for surviving chemotherapy. We don't accept that.

The The Busch Neuropathy Protocol is a breakthrough non-invasive, drug-free approach that targets the root causes of neuropathy and gives damaged nerves what they need to actually heal. Developed by Dr. Richard E. Busch III over more than 14 years of clinical refinement, the protocol has helped thousands of patients across Northeast Indiana, Southern Michigan, and Northwest Ohio reclaim feeling, balance, and quality of life — without surgery, without addictive medications, and without the side effects that come with long-term pharmaceutical management of nerve pain.

A Different Way to Think About Nerve Damage

Peripheral nerves aren't simply broken wires. They're living tissue with their own metabolic needs, blood supply, and capacity for regeneration. When those nerves are damaged — by diabetes, chemotherapy, vitamin deficiency, autoimmune disease, spinal compression, or any of the many other causes — they don't just stop working. They become metabolically starved, structurally compromised, and unable to repair themselves through their own resources.

Standard medication-based care doesn't address any of that. It quiets the alarm bell — sometimes effectively, sometimes not — but it leaves the nerve itself in exactly the same state. Patients often find themselves on increasing doses of medication over time as the underlying neuropathy continues to progress.

The Busch Protocol takes a fundamentally different approach: provide the nerves the inputs they need to heal, address the structural and metabolic factors slowing their recovery, and retrain the nervous system to function properly again. The result, for the majority of patients, is meaningful and lasting improvement.

Conditions the Protocol Treats

If you've been told you "have to live with" the burning, numbness, tingling, balance loss, or weakness of peripheral neuropathy, this protocol may help. We treat neuropathy caused by:

  • Diabetes — by far the most common cause in the U.S.
  • Chemotherapy — chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN)
  • Vitamin deficiencies — particularly B12, B1, and B6
  • Spinal nerve compression — disc problems, stenosis, and other structural issues
  • Autoimmune disorders — rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, Guillain-Barré, and others
  • Alcohol-related nerve damage
  • Medication side effects — statins, certain antibiotics, blood pressure drugs
  • Idiopathic neuropathy — when no specific cause has been identified
  • Other underlying causes — including post-viral, post-surgical, and toxin-related neuropathies
