Failed Neck Surgery Treatment That Helped Joni Get Headache Relief

Failed neck surgery treatment became Joni’s focus after years of trying to fix her chronic neck pain without lasting relief. She had neck surgery. She had several injections. She even tried manipulations. But the headaches and arm numbness kept coming back.

“I was having several issues,” she said. “I had neck surgery that didn’t work. I had several injections. I even had some manipulations done, and every single time the headache would come back. The numbness in my arm would come back.”

She had done what she was told. She followed the recommendations. She tried everything available to relieve her pain, numbness, tingling, and headaches. But nothing lasted.

Living with Headaches and Limited Range of Motion After Neck Surgery

Joni continued to struggle with headaches after neck surgery that simply would not stay away. Every time she thought she might be improving, the symptoms returned. Along with the headaches, she dealt with numbness and tingling in her arm. Her neck rotation became increasingly limited.

“It got really bad with my rotation to where I actually pulled out in front of somebody,” she said. “And that’s when I knew that I needed to try something different.”

Limited range of motion was no longer just frustrating; it was affecting her safety and confidence. Turning her head became difficult. Driving became stressful. Everyday movements required compensation.

She had been living this way for years.

Failed Neck Surgery Treatment with the DRS Protocol®

After trying surgery, injections, and manipulations, Joni search for a failed neck surgery treatment to finally get relief. That’s when she fouud Busch Chiropractic in Fort Wayne. She began a personalized treatment plan using the DRS Protocol®™, and she finally started seeing results.

For decades, she had woken up with headaches. Experiencing a morning without one was something she hadn’t felt in years.

“After the first adjustment or the first DRS Protocol®, I didn’t have a headache the next day,” she said. “Which was a blessing because it’s been decades since I hadn’t woken up with a headache.”

She then noticed that other neck pain symptoms began to improve.

“By the end of the first week, the numbness and the tingling in my arm had subsided.”

That was the first time she felt real, measurable change.

Restoring Motion and Regaining Control

As the failed neck surgery treatment continued over the next several months, her range of motion improved dramatically.

“Now that I’m a few months in, I can turn all the way to my left when I turn on my driveway. I don’t have to turn my whole body. I’m so excited about that.”

Being able to turn her head normally again meant independence. It also meant she could return to the activities she had missed for years.

“It’s allowed me to do the activities that I wasn’t able to do for the longest time, which was also really hard for me. “I’m excited about getting back into my volleyball training and a lot of other things that I’ve not been able to do for a long time.”

After nearly two decades of searching for relief, she felt like she had her life back.

Alternative to Neck Surgery

Joni’s experience shows that failed neck surgery treatment with the DRS Protocol® can provide meaningful improvement even after surgery.

Many patients with chronic neck pain, arm numbness, headaches, and restricted motion are quickly referred for surgery. While surgery may be necessary in some cases, it is not always the only option.

Exploring conservative care before committing to surgery may help some patients avoid undergoing a procedure that may not fully resolve their symptoms.

Joni had already tried surgery, injections, and manipulations. The DRS Protocol® gave her measurable improvement when those approaches did not. It also helped her avoid a second neck surgery.
